Quality Control

A quality management system (QMS) is both necessary and good business in scientific manufacturing, Research, pharmaceuticals, and medical device facilities. In addition to controlling cost, these systems ensure that a safe, effective, and reliable product or service is offered to end-users.

The International Standards Organization (ISO) publishes standards relating to research and manufacturing facilities. ISO 9001 covers current good manufacturing practices (CGMP) and the implementation of a QMS.

Quality control (QC) covers processes used in product development to verify that all design inputs and specifications are fulfilled. Quality assurance (QA) is the testing/batch sampling analysis that validates final product performance and intended use. When issues arise, experiments uncover root causes for corrective and preventive action.
