- Melde’S apparatus apparatus show the effects of vibrations in a stretched cord
- The rod has a small hole at one end for the attachment of thread which passes over a pulley mounted on a bench clamp and supports a scale pan, 75 mm diameter, supplied complete with pulley with clamp and scale pan, 2 V A.C. power supply.
- Can be used in vertical and horizontal position with electrically maintained tinning forks.

- This massive and powerful fork which has a frequency of approximately 60 vibrations per sec., is ideal for producing standing waves and is mounted on a heavy cast iron base.
- An electromagnet is arranged between the prongs of the fork without touching it.
- A small spring type strip is attached to the one of the prongs.
- A screw just makes a contact with this strip. Supplied with scale pan, bench clamp with pulley but without weights.
It Is used in School, College, University, Research Laboratories.
