Rheostats Grooved Type – Physics Laboratory Equipment

• Grooved tube wound with eureka wires on 5.6 cm 2 ½” dia tube in grooved to avoid loosening of wire.
• Brushes of hard laminated brass are phosphorus bronze strips.
• Finished in tiden grey and bright chrome.
• Rheostats are available in several ranges.
• Temperature resistance 100⁰c above room temperature.
• These are made with special non breakable vitreous enameled steel tubes.
• The winding is locked into place with ceramic cement.
• The tube is carried upon robust enameled die-cast end stands and the heavy duty sliding contact is of the multi leaf phosphor bronze type.
