Crucible With Lid
Crucible With Lid – Scientific Laboratory Equipment
The porcelain crucible is usually a cup-shaped container used in laboratories for heating purpose. which can resist very high temperatures and is used for metal, glass, and pigment production. The apparatus is also useful in many laboratory processes. The use of porcelain in manufacturing crucibles is attributed to its high resistance to heat. The material can withstand high temperatures without melting or changing its shape.
The apparatus contain chemical compounds for heating at extremely high temperatures. Its size may vary as per the type of experimentation is to be undertaken. Small porcelain crucibles of 10 ml, 15 ml size are commonly used in gravimeter chemical analysis. THESE ARE Made of fine quality porcelain, glazed inside and outside with lid cover.
CAPACITY: 5 ml, 10 ml, 15 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml, 35 ml, 50 ml, 80 ml, 100 ml, 150 ml, 200 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml .
To prolong the life of porcelain products:
- Follow gradual heating/cooling rates
- Use an oven or hot plate and an intermediate step when quicker heating/cooling rates are required
- Avoid contact of heated ware with a cold surface
- Carefully inspect lab ware prior to each use and do not use any product that appears defective.
