Electromagnet U shape has two coils of copper and inserted in U shape iron rod. Comprising iron U-shaped core of circular section with armature and carrying hook. Armatures on both the arms wound with enameled copper wire and are joined in series.  Operates on 3-6 Volts D.C. Overall length 100 mm.
