Deflection Magnetometer
Deflection Magnetometer – Physics Equipment
A: Comprising a stout metal box, 100 mm diameter, with aluminium dial graduated in degrees 0-90 four times, anti-parallex mirror slot made by Bakelite.
B: As above, but made of Bakelite/metal case, mounted on wooden base with meter scale.
A sensitive compass box mounted at the center of a non-magnetic wooden base about one meter long (Sun-mica Top), a metric scale extending outward from each side of the compass box for observing the position of the magnet tested. The compass direction is indicated in degrees. Dimension 40″ x 5″ with aluminium cup at the center for holding compass box.
Deflection magnetometer, box-type vibration magnetometer, timer, bar magnet.
The deflection magnetometer consists of a large compass box with a small magnetic needle pivoted at the center of a circular scale so that the needle is free to rotate in a horizontal plane .
Available with Bakelite cup for holding compass with meter scale having zero center.
